
ENU Students Win First Place at the City Case Championship on Gender equality





Students from L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (ENU) won first place at the City Case Championship among universities, held as part of the global campaign "16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence." The event was organized with the assistance of the Office of the UN Permanent Coordinator in Kazakhstan.
The ENU team, consisting of Aziza Aymakova, Nail Galiyev, Zhasulan Amanov, Karina Pronina, Bulat Burkhanov, and Anna Nikolaeva from the Faculty of International Relations and the Faculty of Law, under the guidance of their mentor Gulsum Kenzhalina, excelled in solving a case study focused on combating cyberbullying among teenagers with an emphasis on gender-based violence.
The championship provided a platform for participants to develop analytical and creative skills while emphasizing the importance of youth involvement in addressing social challenges. Organizers highlighted the significance of student-driven initiatives aimed at combating gender-based violence and underscored the role of universities in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly gender equality and human rights protection.
At ENU, great importance is placed on integrating the principles of sustainable development into educational and research activities. The students’ victory at the case championship demonstrates the readiness of youth to contribute to solving pressing global challenges.
