
The Department of Constitutional and Civil Law held a lecture on the topic "Application of legal norms"







Associate Professor at the Law Faculty of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Candidate of Legal Sciences Bakhyt Omirkhanovich Altynbassov, delivered an open lecture in the "Theory of State and Law" course, focusing on the topic "Application of legal norms." The lecture was intended for first-year students majoring in "Jurisprudence." During the lecture, the importance and features of applying legal norms were discussed. Special attention was given to the fact that the correct application of legal norms directly affects the efficiency of the legal system and the maintenance of law and order in society. The open lecture also included a comparative legal analysis, including theoretical discussions on the legal system of England. Different approaches and methods of applying legal norms, as well as understanding the features of the legal system, undoubtedly contribute to the development of students as qualified specialists in the field of law. The open lecture was attended by Professor M.S. Beibitov and Associate Professors S.B. Jarkenova, J.I. Ibragimov, Sh.Sh. Ormanova, M.B. Muratkhanova, and J.S. Berdiyarova from the Law Faculty.
Bakhyt Omirkhanovich Altynbassov is a Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor. He completed his doctoral studies in Education Leadership and Policy at the University of Bristol, UK, in 2024. In addition, in 2011, he was awarded the state grant "Best University Teacher" of the Republic of Kazakhstan. His academic and teaching experience spans 22 years. He is the author of more than 130 academic and research publications, including 6 monographs, 4 textbooks approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 2 study guides, 9 articles in the Scopus database, and about 30 articles in journals recommended by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
