ENU hosted the screening of “Saken” film concert

As part of the "Ush Bayterek" week, a concert film by the singer, actor, poet, playwright Kanat Zhunus "Saken" was shown at the L.N.Gumilyov ENU. 

The film was watched by government and public figures, representatives of the intelligentsia, faculty and students.

According to the author, the concert film was filled with songs by Saken Seifullin and meaningful information about his life.

"The film contains elements of documentary and feature films. Along with S. Seifullin's songs "Tau ishinde", "Bizdin zhakta", "Kokshetau", "Aksak kiyk", works that had previously been heard only in the poet's native land were performed. In addition, my son Birzhan Zhunus played the role of the young Saken," the author said.

The film also shows the images of Ilyas Zhansugurov and Beimbet Mailin. 

At the end of the film concert, Serik Negimov, Doctor of Philology, ENU Professor, shared his impressions. ENU Rector Yerlan Sydykov presented memorable souvenirs to the actors on behalf of the university’s youth.
