“Assessing the quality of preschool education”

3rd year students defended their projects in the discipline “Assessing the quality of preschool education.” under the supervision of Sairi Nagashibaevna Zhienbaeva, candidate of pedagogical sciences, professor of the department.
Students conducted comparative analysis of the effectiveness and benefits of international scales for assessing the quality of preschool education such as FCCERS, ITERS, ACEI, CIS, CLASS, SACERS, KES-R, KRIPS-R, Stallings, EDI, ECERS, ECERS-3. Particular attention was paid to the ECERS -3, which is more widely used in Kazakhstan. In the Akku kindergarten in Astana, students conducted monitoring on this assessment scale and gave their recommendations.
We were pleased with the students’ ability to speak fluently in Kazakh, Russian and English and work with world-class literature and articles in high impact journals, the ability to reflect, do critical analysis, as well as their curiosity. We believe that in future preschool education will be replenished with new specialists in this area.
