On December 13, 2024, an educational and methodological seminar of a visiting professor from Ain Sham University (Cairo, Egypt), d. Ashraf Mohammed Attiy, was held at the Department of Oriental Studies in an online format on the topic "Modern Arab Culture".

The lecturer presented the main stages of the development of Arab culture, highlighted the special role of translation in its development and highlighted the problems and threats it faces in view of the ongoing processes of globalization and westernization.
