ENU hosted a meeting with Aliya Ashim, a well-known journalist

The Eurasian National University held a meeting with a well-known journalist, author of documentaries, ENU graduate Aliya Ashim.  

During the meeting, Aliya Ashim shared with students and schoolchildren her memories of her student days, talked about how she came to create historical documentaries, and voiced several life tips, answering questions from the audience.

According to the guest, as a student, she always aspired to development, knowledge, absorbing life values.

"ENU helped me a lot in this. I spent 6 years of my life here," recalls the Eurasian National University’s graduate.

The author of the documentaries shared with the audience the intimate thought that she makes films not for the sake of watching, but in order to find answers to her questions.

"History is the ability to feel one’s present through awareness of the past. As a nation, you can determine the path to the future only through awareness of the present and knowledge of the past," the young woman shared.

Aliya Ashim also told how she manages to keep up with everything.

“Human energy is fueled by his dreams and goals. If there is no movement, there is no energy. Movement begets movement. Therefore, the higher a person’s dreams and goals are, the less they think about how to achieve everything," the journalist said.

At the end of the meeting, the ENU students thanked the guest and presented souvenirs to commemorate the meeting.
