“EU Soft Power Values and Responsibility: In the Context of the International Summer School”

On June 20 and 21, within the framework of the International Summer School (based on the project of the Jean Monnet Center of Excellence "EUROSOFT"), professors Holger Kusse and Marianne Schulz of the Center for Central and Eastern European Studies at the Technical University of Dresden gave lectures.

Marianne Schulz's lecture was dedicated to university culture at TU Dresden, its internal consolidation and transfer of values. Also in her lecture, she discussed the case of value transfer at the Russian-Tajik University (Dushanbe, Tajikistan) as part of the project of the joint educational program “Culture and Media”.

Professor Holger Kusse in his lecture highlighted the concept of responsibility of Václav Havel; during the discussion it was determined that the concept of responsibility is one of the important values constituting the “soft power” of the European Union.
