ENU and Association of Urbanists of Kazakhstan Q88 signed a memorandum of cooperation

Rector of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU Yerlan Sydykov and Chairman of the Public Association “Association of Urbanists of Kazakhstan Q88” Yerlan Aukenov signed a memorandum of cooperation.

Within the framework of the document, the parties intend to conduct joint research in the field of improving the regulatory framework for the development of residential and monofunctional development areas in the cities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, develop education programs in the field of urban planning and architectural design, conduct joint educational and scientific events, etc.

During the meeting, representatives of the Public Association presented the manual “Model of Integrated Development of Territories”, developed for the first time in 30 years and approved by the state.

Following the presentation, Yerlan Aukenov noted that together with the university, it is possible to train specialists who will be chief architects, akims and in the future they will be able to apply these standards for the benefit of the development of modern cities.

In his turn, Yerlan Sydykov presented several areas of promising cooperation, including the creation of a modern department, opening of a branch of the department on the basis of the Association of Urbanists Q88, creation of a special group of experts and talented students on the development of urban infrastructure, involvement of specialists of the Public Association to lecturing at the university, etc.
