
ENU celebrated “Korisu”, “Amal” holiday – a symbol of Nauryz meiramy’s start












The Eurasian National University celebrated “Korisu”, “Amal” holiday which became a symbol of the beginning of Nauryz celebrations. The Amal holiday gave a start to a number of events in honor of the Nauryz holiday. The celebrations spread to the entire academic building.
Rector of The L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University Yerlan Sydykov congratulated the audience and voiced warm wishes.
"Today is a holiday – Korisu kuni. March 14, a holiday that is usually celebrated in the western regions of the country, is celebrated today throughout the country. This day is also called Amal holiday. The tradition of "amal", "korisu" has existed since ancient times and is being updated today. By the instructions and support of the President of the country, the Nauryz holiday is widely spread throughout the country. We celebrate the beginning of the year for 10 days. Each day of the celebration under such names as “Charity”, “Consent”, “Shanyrak” pursue a specific goal. Thank you for participating in our mass celebration," ENU Rector said.
Employees in national costumes decorated the celebration. APK members, students and teachers hugged and honored each other. ENU graduate, head of the educational company JUZ40 Zhuldyzai Musayeva transferred 10,000,000 KZT to the ENU Endowment Fund.
"I graduated from the Eurasian National University in 2019. I thank Allah, my parents and ENU for the opportunity to start such a business. When I started the JUZ40 educational center with 20 students, I studied at ENU. Therefore, this university is close to me and taught me a lot. At one time, I was one point short of a grant and enrolled in a fee-based education. Two years later, I became the recipient of a grant, and now I have reached the level where I hand out grants myself,” Zhuldyzai said.
ENU lecturer, author of the State Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhandarbek Malibekov voiced his wishes:
“Today, ENU is ahead in science, academic and educational work. Happy holiday! I wish everyone health and prosperity!” the scientist said.
ENU professor Tursynkhan Zaken blessed those present.
During the event, performances by the Dala Sazy ensemble and the Samuryk dance group were enjoyed.
The celebration continued with an event organized by the Faculty of International Relations and the Faculty of Law.
