China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec) is recognized as one of China’s largest oil and gas enterprises and the foremost global entity in petroleum refining and petrochemical production. The company’s operations encompass exploration, extraction, refining, and the distribution of crude oil and natural gas. Sinopec manufactures a wide range of petroleum products, including fuel oil, diesel, gasoline, jet fuel, and other derivatives through advanced refining processes. Its scope of activity further extends to electricity generation and distribution, as well as the development and management of oil and gas transportation infrastructure. The corporation is actively engaged in global initiatives concerning resource extraction, energy sector innovation, and environmental sustainability.
The primary objective of this cooperation agreement is to foster a dynamic platform for the exchange of knowledge and resources, thereby enriching the academic and cultural landscape of the University. The collaboration entails the donation of 200 publications on energy technologies, textbooks for the Chinese language, and materials on cultural studies, alongside the establishment of a permanent corporate bookshelf within the university premises. These initiatives aim to broaden the educational and cultural resources accessible to both students and academic staff.
Furthermore, the partnership between the Department of Oriental Studies and the Sinopec Group envisions reciprocal support in the implementation of academic and cultural initiatives. This aligns with the strategic vision of the University to enhance the quality of its educational processes and to deepen its engagement in international cooperation.
