Seminar on "The algorithm of preparation for the defense of a doctoral thesis"

On February 26, 2025, by order of the rector, the dissertation council was opened in the field of 8D031-Social Sciences (8D03103-Psychology).

In this regard, on April 10, 2025, as part of the decade of science held at the university, a seminar on the topic "Algorithm of preparation for the defense of a doctoral thesis" was organized at the Department of Psychology. The seminar was conducted by PhD, Associate Professor Baizhumanova Bibianar Shaimerdenovna and PhD Abenova Saulet Urazbekovna.

The seminar was aimed at thoroughly familiarizing participants with the stages, requirements and strategies for successful preparation and defense of a doctoral thesis. The main issues discussed at the seminar were research planning, publication activity, the structure and content of the dissertation, the procedure for holding an extended meeting of the department, the procedure for submitting a dissertation to the dissertation council, and others.

Thus, the seminar was useful for systematizing knowledge about the process of preparing and defending a doctoral dissertation, clarifying key requirements, as well as developing practical skills necessary for successful completion of all stages of the scientific path from topic selection to public defense.

The seminar was attended by advisors, doctoral students, 2nd-year undergraduates of the Department of Psychology who are planning to enter the doctoral program, as well as doctoral students studying in other educational programs.
