Master of Kazakhstani Journalism Namazaly Omashev met ENU students

A meeting with Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Philology, Professor Namazaly Omashev was held at the Faculty of Journalism and Social Sciences of the Eurasian National University.

The event was attended by ENU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Ardak Beisenbai, Adviser to the President of RK, Academician of NAS RK Bauyrzhan Omarov, Honored Worker of RK, writer, publicist Sadybek Tugel, Doctor of Philology, Academician of NAS RK Karimbek Kurmanaliyev, professors of the Faculty Kairat Sak, Aitmukhanbet Yesdauletov, Muratbek Toktagazin, N.Omashev’s apprentice, Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhasulanbek Mailybai and students.

"We are glad to see you at the meeting, which is taking place on the eve of the 15th anniversary of the Faculty of Journalism and Social Sciences. As part of this festive event, we plan to hold an event in Namazaly Omashev’s honor," Vice-Rector said.

Namazaly Omashuly is the master of domestic journalism, who founded the ENU’s Faculty of Journalism and became its first dean.

"If we say that the Faculty of Journalism stands at the top, then three great figures stand at the very top of this field - Kaiyrzhan Bekkhozhin, Tauman Amandosov and Temirbek Kozhekeyev. And the people who saw them with their own eyes are sitting here today. And then their follower, Namazaly aga, followed in their footsteps, who made an invaluable contribution to the national journalism. His name is inscribed in the history of national journalism, and it is written with dignity," Academician Bauyrzhan Omarov said.

The meeting was held in a free format. The university staff congratulated Namazaly Omashev on his 75th birthday and honored him. The professor's students had a heartfelt conversation with him and took a photo as a keepsake.
