
Professor Emin Atasoy from Turkey delivers lectures for students

As part of the academic mobility program for the 2024-2025 academic year, Professor Emin Atasoy from Bursa Uludag University (Turkey) arrived at the Department of Physical and Economic Geography of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
The professor is delivering a course of lectures on “Recreational Geography”. The main aim of the course is to expand students' knowledge of the political, economic, cultural, and historical features of different countries.
Professor Atasoy’s lectures have deepened the students' geographical worldview and enhanced their intercultural competence. Special attention was given to comparing Turkey and Kazakhstan, allowing students to explore similarities and differences between the two countries through practical examples and combine theoretical knowledge with practical skills.
A key feature of the course is its interactive format. The professor actively engaged students in discussions, fostering lively interaction. This approach helped students better understand the material and gain valuable skills in analyzing cultural and geographical features.
