
More than 100 students from different cities of Kazakhstan took part in the debate tournament «Kultegin-2025» in ENU

The “Kultegin-2025” National Grand Debate Tournament was held in Astana, organized by the “Parasat” Debate Club of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The event was conducted in British Parliamentary format (BPF) and brought together over 100 university students from various regions of Kazakhstan.
The tournament aimed to promote critical thinking, argumentation, and leadership skills among youth. It also served as a space for civic dialogue, intellectual exchange, and the development of public speaking culture.
Participants competed in two divisions: the youth and the main leagues. Following competitive and engaging rounds, the top teams and individual speakers were identified.
Youth League finalists included quоquette (Sanibek Ganybek, Baubek Batyrbek), Jetishelpek (Aisha Umarova, Amina Askar), and Zhensek, livaem s debatov (Alina Sagadatova, Bekaidar Zholdas). The champions were Ktl traumatic experience (Kerimkhan Albar, Syrym Zhoiamergen).
Finalists in the main league were Qyzyl bölme 208 (Amina Daniyarkyzy, Aruna Naimanova), Nurmakov A (Moldir Auelkhan, Mukhammedali Meirammuly), and NU MS (Erulan Meirzhan, Sultan Satybaldy). The winning team was Meni prep-time’da bully’etedi (Asel Kenzhebay, Sagynysh Anuarbekov).
Best Judge: Akzhan Bakhytzhankyzy
Best Young Speaker: Akbota Smanova (76.8)
Best Main League Speaker: Sultan Satybaldy (80.6)
In addition to the debates, the tournament featured workshops, speaker trainings, and informal networking sessions. It became not only a competition, but also a vibrant platform for learning, collaboration, and inspiration.
