First international robotics festival "RoboZerde-2025" was held in ENU

The first international robotics festival "RoboZerde-2025" named after Alikhan Maksut was held at the Eurasian National University. More than 200 schoolchildren from 17 regions and 3 cities of Kazakhstan, as well as citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, took part in the festival.
The event was attended by scientists, government and public figures, artists, journalists and bloggers. In particular, the festival brought together representatives of the Eurasian National University, the Amanat Party, the Astana City Education Department, and the Daryn Scientific and Practical Center.
At the opening of the festival, ENU’s Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Ardak Beisenbai, Director of the Center for the Identification and Support of Gifted Children and Talented Youth "Astana Daryn" Zhanar Beisenbayeva, computer science teacher Gulsara Zhumagatova, Alikhan physics teacher Valya Kaisenova and Dean of ENU’s Faculty of Philology Serikzat Duisengazy delivered a welcoming speech.
"The purpose of the festival is to support the training of future technical specialists, popularize innovative projects of schoolchildren in society through the media and social networks, as noted in the Address of the Head of State Kassym–Jomart Tokayev, taking into account the life image of a talented student, winner of national, international subject Olympiads and scientific projects, young akyn Alikhan Serikzatuly, passed away early in life.
Now robotics is being mastered not only by scientists, but also by schoolchildren. The future lies in artificial intelligence, robotics, and creativity. We should focus on the creation of new technologies in Kazakhstan. Robotics is only developing in Kazakhstan, and I believe that today’s schoolchildren will become in-demand specialists and students of ENU," Ardak Beisenbai said.
It is worth noting that the festival, organized by the Eurasian National University, the Astana Education Department, the Daryn Scientific and Practical Center, the Alikhan Maksut Foundation for Talented Children, the Republican scientific and specialized Lyceum No. 9 "Zerde" of the Akimat of Astana, Astana IT University, and the KAZ ROCKETS Public Foundation, is held annually.
"Initially, the festival was held on an urban scale, then at the national level, and this year, for the first time, at an international level. We are happy about it. We wish the participants of this festival to fulfill the dreams that Alikhan Maksut failed to achieve," Valya Kaisenova, Honored Teacher of RK, Alikhan's physics teacher said.

"We participated in the "Shooter" nomination. The competition was fair, and I liked everything. Last year, my friends took second and third place at this festival. This time, the guys from our group from the cities of Kokshetau and Taraz took the lead. It served as a good motivation for us," Azat said.
