
The winners of the V International Video Contest "The United Nation Wins" were awarded at ENU

The award ceremony for the winners of the V International Video Contest entitled "The United Nation Wins " was held at the Eurasian National University. The theme of the current contest, "Descendants with a high spirit, glorifying the Great Victory!", was timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and the 15th anniversary of the University’s Faculty of Journalism.
The ceremony began with the introduction of the National Flag and the National Anthem. Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Ardak Beisenbai made a welcoming speech, noting the importance of the events held at the University on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Victory. He also congratulated the audience on the upcoming Victory Day holiday on May 9 and the winners of the international video contest "The United Nation Wins!".
"The competition has been held since 2020. The idea and management of the project belong to the winner of the Daryn State Prize, a professional television journalist, the best university teacher, Professor Ulbosyn Yessenbekova. As you know, our rector Yerlan Battashuly supported this project from the very beginning. Due to this, the competition is held annually. I sincerely congratulate the winners on their victory on the eve of Victory Day," Vice Rector Ardak Beisenbai said.
According to the organizers, this year more than 100 students, undergraduates and doctoral students from both domestic and foreign universities took part in the competition. In addition to Kazakhstani universities, students from leading educational institutions in the USA, Great Britain, Japan, Canada, Turkey and Russia presented their works.
The winners of the international competition were awarded the Grand Prix, I, II and III degree diplomas by deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The awards were presented by Kazybek Isa, a member of the Committee on Socio-cultural Development, holder of Parasat and Kurmet orders, winner of the Daryn State Prize, member of the Writers’ Union of Kazakhstan Zhanarbek Ashimzhan, as well as Kuanysh Mukhamadiyev, a veteran, major of the reserve of the Armed Forces of RK, and professors of the Faculty of Journalism and Social Sciences, media representatives. Special diplomas and prizes for the best works in various categories were also awarded.
The best work of the competition is a video on the theme "The Great Victory is a call to descendants!" by Fariza Baurzhan, a student of the Eurasian National University.
The first place was taken by Akbilge Kutym, a student of Nazarbayev University, and Symbat Serikkyzy, a student of ENU. The second place was shared by Aizhan Akylbekova (M.H. Dulati Taraz University), Alisher Imashev (Toronto Metropolitan University), Nuray Sagatova, Tomiris Abdikadir and Kozhabai Kydyrali (International University of Information Technology).
The third place was taken by students of the M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University Kasymzhomart Yeginbayev and Karakat Amanzhol, Sabina Bolatova (Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University), Aidana Zhambotyrova (T. Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts).
Special awards were also presented in the following nominations: "Best Idea", "Best Director", "Best Cinematography", "Best Editing", as well as awards named after prominent figures: "Kultegin", "Sagat Ashimbayev", "Sherkhan Murtaza", "Akseleu Seidimbek", "Sultan Orazalin", "Marat Barmankulov".
