
Experts discussed media trends, problems and prospects at ENU

The L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University hosted an International Scientific and Practical Conference "Media and Literary Discourses in the Context of Modern Culture: Trends, Problems and Prospects", dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Doctor of Philology, Professor Serik Takhan.
The event was attended by ENU’s Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Ardak Beisenbai, Adviser to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bauyrzhan Omarov, scientists and teachers of research organizations and higher educational institutions, specialists in the field of education, doctoral students, undergraduates and students.
Advisor to the President of RK Bauyrzhan Omarov handed over a congratulatory letter from the State Adviser of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Karin. Vice-Rector Ardak Beysenbai, in turn, read out a congratulatory letter from the University Rector, Yerlan Sydykov, and presented the professor with the university’s highest award, Kultegin medal.
"You have devoted almost a quarter of a century of your life to work at the university. The teaching profession is a noble cause that shapes the future of the country. And the upbringing of young people, the influence on their thoughts and feelings depend on a talented mentor. Your colleagues are appreciative of your methodical skills. Congratulating you on a new stage of your life, I wish you long years and success!" congratulation words on behalf of the university administration were conveyed by Vice-Rector Ardak Beisenbai.
Within the framework of the conference, a presentation of the scientific works of Professor Serik Takhan took place: "Academician Rymgali Nurgali (1940-2010): Issues of Scientific Creativity" and "Literature and Journalism in the System of Global Culture".
The conference comprehensively addressed topical issues in the field of media, intercultural communication, literary studies and linguistics, as well as ways to improve the quality of higher education in the context of global change.
The scientific conference became a platform for the exchange of new scientific ideas in the context of integrating modern education and science, establishing partnerships and identifying priority areas for future research.
