
ENU chess team is 2nd at the XIII Summer Universiade in Turkestan

The L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University chess team won 2nd place at the XIII Summer Universiade in Turkestan.
The team consists of students from the following faculties: Arlan Abuzyarov – Faculty of Law;
Arlen Abdrashev – Graduate School of Education; Alimzhan Ayapov – Faculty of Economics; Maksat Zhaken – Faculty of Natural Sciences; Miras Zhassan – Graduate School of Education; Aidana Kushbai – Institute of Physical and Technical Sciences; Tomiris Suleimen – Faculty of Architecture and Construction.
Individual awards:
4 boards each: Yerlan Abuzyarov took the 2nd place; in 5 classes: Tomiris Suleimenova took the 2nd place.
It should be noted that from May 10 to June 14, the XIII Summer Universiade among students of higher educational institutions of the country is being held at the International University of Tourism and Hospitality in Turkestan.
More than 4,000 students from 76 universities, who compete in 17 sports, are taking part in the competition: badminton, regular tennis, basketball, chess, taekwondo, togyzkumalak, light athletics, karate-do, volleyball, judo, freestyle wrestling, women's wrestling, Greco-Roman wrestling, Kazakh kuresi, boxing, swimming, futsal. More than 600 students are in national sports togyzkumalak and Kazakh kuresi.
