ENU graduate made a breakthrough in metrology

The ENU graduate became the author of the first technology in Kazakhstan for reproducing the temperature of the dew point and frost.
He developed a saturating device, which formed the basis of the first Russian standard for dew point temperature. This allows Kazakhstan to calibrate air humidity on its own for the first time, without having to apply abroad.
The technology was patented in 2024 (Patent No. 9626), and the results of the study were published in the international journal Metrology.
Thanks to this development, Kazakhstan is participating in the international COOMET project for the first time as a pilot laboratory, which is a recognition of the high level of domestic specialists.
Asylbek Zhumagali is a graduate of the Department of Standardization, Certification and Metrology of the Transport and Energy Faculty of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU. Today he works at the KazStandart RSE and has already achieved an important scientific achievement at the age of 27.
