ENU is working to provide students with additional places in dormitories
The L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University is completing its preparation of student homes for the new academic year. Now repairs have been carried out in some student homes, the rest will be ready by August 15. ENU is also doing a lot of work to provide additional bed-places for students. During this period, negotiations are underway with hostels and dormitories for 775 beds. This work will still continue.
There are 8 student homes in the university itself, where there are over 4 thousand beds. The university solves the problem of shortage of places in dormitories by negotiating with the Financial Center, hostels and hotels to provide bed-places for students. Private investors are building two more dormitories, which are planned to be commissioned this year.
When checking in, priority is given to first-year students, regardless of the education system. At the same time, the university takes into account students’ social status. First of all, the hostel is provided to orphans, persons left without parental care, as well as persons with disabilities, and they will be living there free of charge. These benefits also apply to master’s and doctoral students belonging to this social group.
If there are available bed-places, 2-5-year students, as well as students from large, incomplete socially vulnerable families, as well as those whose parents are retired, disabled, unemployed, participants in the war in Afghanistan, or have two or more children in the family are accommodated in the hostel.
All the necessary information regarding the accommodation of students in dormitories is available on the official website of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University https://www.enu.kz/ru/page/student-life/infrastructure/student-houses in the section ‘Student life’, subsection ‘Infrastructure’ (Student homes).
