Students of the ENU Faculty of Law took first place at the International Youth Legal Forum in Tashkent

On May 30-31, 2025, students of the Law Faculty of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University took part in the First International Youth Legal Forum "YOSHLAW", held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, on the basis of the Tashkent State Law University.

The forum was organized with the support of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan and brought together more than 100 participants — students, young lawyers, researchers and teachers from Central Asia, the CIS, Europe, as well as the United States of America, the People's Republic of China and other countries. The event has become an international platform for discussing current trends in the development of law, strengthening intercultural dialogue and shaping global legal thinking among young people.

A team of students from the ENU Faculty of Law, led by senior lecturer of the Department of Criminal Law B.U. Turegeldiyev, worthily represented the Republic of Kazakhstan, demonstrating a high level of legal knowledge, analytical skills and communicative training. During the forum, they actively participated in panel sessions, debates, and thematic contests and successfully passed all stages of the competition program, taking the honorable first place among the teams of more than 20 participating universities.

The forum program included:

• Youth Law Debate Championship;
• International competition for the resolution of legal conflicts;
• A series of practical workshops and legal workshops;
• Discussions with international experts from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, the USA, China, Turkey and other countries;
• A cultural and sightseeing program aimed at strengthening friendly ties between young professionals.

Participation in the forum allowed students to deepen their professional knowledge, gain valuable international experience and establish academic contacts with future lawyers from different legal systems.

The ENU Faculty of Law congratulates the students on their bright victory, expresses gratitude to the organizers of the forum for the high level of the event and will continue to support international activity, forming a new generation of competitive and creative lawyers.
