
ENU ranked 317th in the QS World University Rankings-2026

L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University is recognized as one of the world's leading universities according to the twenty-second edition of the world's most popular university ranking.
In the QS World University Rankings-2026, published today by the global analytical agency for higher education, QS Quacquarelli Symonds, The L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University has increased its position and ranked 317th among the best universities of the world. For the second year, ENU continues its growth in the international competitive environment, building up its potential and returning to the university's position before the methodology changes.
ENU continues to show growth in the "Reputation Among Employers" criterion, entering the top 100 in this indicator.
ENU also remains attractive to foreign teaching staff and foreign students, having improved the positions of these criteria.
Two criteria - "Reputation Among Employers" and "Teacher-Student Ratio" are among the TOP 100 best universities in the world.
Ben Sauter, Senior Vice President of QS, noted:
"In order to reduce gaps with the world's leading universities, Kazakhstani universities need to focus on increasing their influence on the modern scientific agenda, participating in international research projects and further strengthening their reputation in academic circles."
The QS rating evaluates universities according to 9 criteria, including "Academic Reputation", "Number of Citations Per Teacher", "Reputation Among Employers", "Employment", " Teacher-Student Ratio ", "Proportion of Foreign Teachers", "International Scientific Collaboration", "Proportion of Foreign students" and "Sustainable Development".
This year, the QS ranking includes 1,501 educational institutions from 106 countries, including 20 from Kazakhstan.
