
ENU Strengthens Its Position in the Global Impact Rankings 2025



L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University has reaffirmed its strong standing in the prestigious Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025, which assess universities’ contributions to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In 2025, a record-breaking 2,318 universities from over 100 countries participated in the ranking - the highest number in the history of the Impact Rankings. Amid growing global competition, ENU maintained its position in the 1001–1500 band, demonstrating a systematic approach to integrating sustainability principles.
The university participated in 9 out of the 17 SDGs, including:
- SDG 1 - No Poverty
- SDG 3 - Good Health and Well-being
- SDG 4 - Quality Education
- SDG 8 - Decent Work and Economic Growth
- SDG 9 - Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
- SDG 10 - Reduced Inequalities
- SDG 11 - Sustainable Cities and Communities
- SDG 16 - Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions
- SDG 17 - Partnerships for the Goals
ENU showed its strongest performance in the following areas:
- Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8) - ranked in the 601–800 group
- Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10) and Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions (SDG 16) - also in the 601–800 group, reflecting the university’s strong social orientation and its contributions to legal and ethical development.
Participation in the Impact Rankings highlights ENU’s ongoing efforts to promote sustainability, scientific advancement, inclusivity, and global collaboration. The university continues to strengthen its role as an active member of the international academic community and contributes to building a more sustainable future.
