
Faculty Member and Doctoral Student of the “Thermal Power Engineering” Department Participate in Green Energy Management–2025 International Summer School

From June 23 to 27, the Green Energy Management – 2025 Central Asia Edition summer school is being held at Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan and Tashkent Technical University. L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University is co-organizing the event, continuing its active involvement in the SILKWAY consortium, which unites universities from Italy, Spain, Azerbaijan, Albania, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
From the Department of Thermal Power Engineering, Prof. G.T. Merzadinova is taking part as a speaker, while A.Ö. Omirbayeva, a 1st-year doctoral student of the "Thermal Power Engineering" program, is participating as a delegate.
GEM–2025 has brought together students and experts from eight countries, including Italy, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. Throughout the week, participants are engaged in interdisciplinary discussions on sustainable development, energy transition, business, and innovations in green energy.
“Green energy management” Summer school
The Grand Event World Astana EXPO 2017 “Future Energy” took place in Astana in 2017. It was decided to hold the summer school “Green energy management” (GEM) in the last 2 weeks from August 28 to September 10, 2017. The first school with the participation of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University was timed to coincide with the Astana World Exhibition EXPO 2017. Every year, GEM gathers specialists, experts in the field of green economy and energy and trains students from different countries. Starting from 2017, the location of GEM changes, and representatives of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University participate as professors, lecturers and students of the course.
