Online Certification Ceremony for Faculty Members of Bukhara State University

From June 2 to June 30, 2025, seventeen faculty members of Bukhara State University participated in a professional development course hosted by L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The program, titled "Scientific and Innovative Activities and Modern Teaching Methodologies," combined online lectures by international experts with in-person master classes, seminars, and workshops. This allowed participants to explore advanced approaches to organizing educational processes and research activities.
Online lectures (June 2–8, June 23–30, 2025)**
Participants attended a series of lectures by professors from universities in the USA (Wirsend, California), Pakistan (Punjab, Lahore), and the UK (Anglia Ruskin, Cambridge). The topics included modern distance learning methodologies, interactive digital tools for learner engagement, and strategies to ensure academic integrity in online education.
On-site sessions (June 9–22, 2025)
During in-person lectures, seminars, and workshops, instructors practiced techniques for active learning and project-based teaching. Special focus areas included:
* Mathematical and physical modeling using the PARAM BILIM-2 supercomputer;
* Interdisciplinary projects in tourism and transport-energy systems;
* Contemporary research methods in the natural sciences;
* Organizing laboratory sessions (equipment and teaching methodologies).
Additionally, participants visited the ENU library, where they were introduced to electronic resources for scientific publications and database research.
International experience as a driver of development
Lectures by foreign professors introduced participants to best practices in distance and blended learning, offering insights into the effectiveness of various digital platforms and tools.
Integrating science and teaching
Familiarization with the capabilities of the PARAM BILIM-2 supercomputer and master classes in mathematical and physical modeling opened new research opportunities for BSU faculty.
Innovative methodologies in the natural sciences
Mastery of modern approaches to organizing laboratory work and interdisciplinary projects is expected to enhance the quality of education in physics, mathematics, tourism, and energy-related disciplines.
Fostering a research culture
Discussions on the scientific process "from idea to publication" will help faculty engage students in research projects and prepare them for international conferences and publications.
New educational initiatives
The knowledge gained will serve as a foundation for developing joint programs with ENU and partner universities, as well as implementing innovative courses at BSU faculties.
The professional development course underscored the importance of continuous experience exchange and strengthening international cooperation. BSU faculty members returned with new knowledge and practical skills, which will soon be integrated into the academic process. This will help the university strengthen its scientific and educational potential and better prepare students for the challenges of the modern world.
