This year, the acceptance of documents for participation in the competition for the award of educational grants will be carried out from July 13 to July 20, 2025 through university admissions offices, as well as the eGov e-government portal. For the convenience of applicants from remote regions, universities will have virtual admissions offices for consultation and application via video link. It is worth noting that the submission of documents is possible at any university (at the location).
Applicants can participate in the competition with one of two UNT results, which took place from May 16 to July 10, 2025.
To participate in the competition for the award of a state educational grant and submit documents, applicants must have:
1. Identification document (of the applicant/legal representatives/ authorized representative);

In addition, the number of grants for children from socially vulnerable segments of the population has been increased. Thus, children from families with four or more minor children were allocated 5% of the total number of grants, children from single–parent families with this status for at least three years - 2%, children from families with children with disabilities of groups I and II are provided with 2% of educational grants. The quota for orphans and children left without parental care is 1%, for the disabled of groups I, II, disabled since childhood, disabled children is 2% of the number of grants. Also, 4% of grants are allocated annually to persons of Kazakh nationality who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan (kandasy). As part of the competition for the award of educational grants, one can choose up to 4 groups of education programs, depending on the combination of specialized subjects.;
specify up to 4 universities where the selected groups of education programs are implemented.
By the way, in the admissions committee today we can meet not only applicants and technical secretaries, but also deans of faculties and heads of departments, professors and teachers. They provide complete information to applicants who have chosen their faculty, and advise them not to make a mistake in choosing a profession.
"The grand opening of the Admissions Office took place on June 5, from that moment the university opened its doors to applicants. The admissions committee is actively working, every applicant is provided with conditions for timely consultation, acceptance of documents and a confident step towards studying at our university.
From June 20 to July 7, documents were accepted for groups of educational programs requiring creative training. Currently, the creative exams, which are held according to the schedule approved from July 8 to July 15, are at the completion stage.
One of the important innovations of the ENU is to raise the threshold level of points. Depending on the educational program, the minimum threshold score is 95, and the maximum is 125 points.
Today, on July 13, the acceptance of documents for a state educational grant began. It accepts documents for participation in the competition for the award of state educational grants from July 13 to 20. The award of state educational grants will be determined by the decision of the commission established by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The results will be published after August 10 on the pages of the republican periodical and on websites. The result of the grant is regulated by the choice of the applicant, indicated in the application when choosing a profession," Lyazzat Yegeubayeva, Executive Secretary of ENU’d Admissions Office said.
Also, as L.Yegeubayeva emphasized, within the framework of the competition, up to 4 groups of education programs can be selected, depending on the combination of specialized disciplines, and up to 4 universities can be specified in which the selected group of programs is implemented.
The grant application can be submitted through any higher educational institution of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Currently, ENU employs about 80 technical secretaries and staff to receive documents for the grant competition.
Ayerke Syzdykova, Technical Secretary: "This is the third year I have been participating in the work of the admissions office and during the consultation I try to explain the nuances of a particular specialty as clearly as possible to applicants, so that then the applicant could decide on his own and independently choose the profession suitable for him. And I am always happy when, after graduation, yesterday's applicant, and now a student, comes and expresses gratitude and appreciation for timely advice. It is a great honor and a great pride for us. Good luck to the applicants!".
Yerasyl Ashirbek, Technical Secretary: "I accept documents for applicants of the Faculty of Economics. If the applicant cannot enroll in the first specialty, the next chosen specialty is taken into account. Applicants who have not passed the state educational grant competition can study on a contractual, i.e. fee-based basis. For this purpose, the threshold score is strictly taken into account and a bilateral contract for the provision of educational services is concluded. As stated in it, the student must pay for the tuition in a timely manner and carefully read all the requirements specified in the contract and fulfill them."
Kamila Kaliyeva, an applicant: "I left BINOM school in Astana. I want to connect my future with mathematics. I scored 118 points on the UNT. I was one of the first to apply. I would like to note that all conditions have been created for applicants. The goal is to become an ENU student."
Saule Zhumatayevna: "I brought my grandson from the Kyzylorda region. We have applied for the education program "Information Technology". Now we will wait for the results. My grandson scored 120 points at the UNT, and there is hope that he will enroll. Many thanks to the admissions advisory center and the technical secretaries who try to help applicants with the application process as much as possible."
We wish all applicants success and good luck!
