In the new academic year, over 300 international students came to ENU to study under the «Welcome to ENU» and double degree programs

L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University continues to strengthen Kazakhstan’s position as an educational hub in Central Asia. The university hosted a traditional meeting with participants of the «Welcome to ENU» program, as well as students who arrived under the Double Degree program for the 2025–2026 academic year.

The “Welcome to ENU” program has been implemented since 2020 within the framework of the Erasmus+ «WELCOME» project and has since become a recognized international brand of the university. The program is widely acknowledged by partner universities abroad and continues to grow annually in both the number of participants and the geography of countries represented.

For the Fall semester of 2025–2026, 224 international students arrived at ENU under the «Welcome to ENU» program, and 94 students joined through Double Degree programs in the following fields: International Relations, Foreign Languages, Russian Language and Literature, Tourism, Architecture, Chemistry, Nuclear Physics, Nanomaterials and Nanotechnologies, Economics, Finance, Accounting and Auditing, Management, and others.

The program brought together students from 14 countries, including the USA, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, South Korea, Vietnam, China, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

Among the program’s partner universities are leading institutions from Europe, Asia, and the CIS region:
University Bordeaux Montaigne, Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3, Leiden University, University of Catania, University of Gdansk, Middlebury College, Minzu University of China, Gyeongsang National University, Hanoi Law University, Middle East Technical University, and many others.

Universities from Central Asia, particularly those in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, are showing notable engagement within the program.
