
Hungarian President's wife visits L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University
As part of the official visit of the President of Hungary to Kazakhstan, Mrs. Zsuzsanna Nagy, the wife of Hungarian President Tamás Sulyok, visited the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The meeting was held by ENU Vice Rector for Social and Infrastructural Development Lyazzat Tolegenkyzy.
The guest was introduced to the activities of the ENU Hungarian Language Center, headed by teacher Jofia Siraki.
ENU actively cooperates with Hungarian universities and scientific institutes in the areas of academic mobility, teaching and scientific internships. The University's partners are:
1.Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary;
- Faculty of Humanities, Institute of Slavic and Baltic Philology, Eötvös Loránd University;
- University of Szeged;
- Corvinus University of Budapest;
- Mathias Corvinus Collegium;
- Obuda University.
The University employs four professors from Hungarian universities who teach at the faculties of International Relations and History. Invited experts also conduct lectures on tourism and sociology.
Since 2020, 23 ENU students have studied at Hungarian universities under the academic mobility program. As part of the agreement with the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, signed in 2020, a Hungarian language teacher is involved annually.
In 2021, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó and Deputy Prime Minister Mihály Varga visited the university and were awarded the title of Honorary Professor at the ENU.
With the support of the Hungarian Embassy in Kazakhstan, a Hungarian Language Center has been launched, which hosts courses attended by ENU students.
In 2024-2025, measures were taken to develop cooperation: the creation of a Club of Kazakhstani Graduates of Hungarian Universities, guest lectures by the Hungarian Ambassador and the signing of a new agreement on Hungarian language and culture teaching.
