
Key documents in the field of sustainable development discussed at ENU



L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University hosted a discussion of a set of documents aimed at strengthening the system of sustainable development and aligning with international ESG standards. The meeting was chaired by a Member of the Board – Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Internationalization, Dumana Aitmagambetov.
The following documents were reviewed during the discussion:
- Report on the inventory of greenhouse gas emissions;
- Policy on the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions;
- Methodology for the assessment and control of greenhouse gas emissions;
- Policy on responsible financing of ESG initiatives;
- Sustainable Procurement Policy;
- Policy on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
Participants emphasized the relevance of these documents and their importance for building an integrated system of sustainable development management at the University. It was highlighted that these policies contribute to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, increase transparency and efficiency of operations, and are an essential condition for strengthening the University’s international ranking and successfully passing program accreditations, including FIBAA.
During the meeting, proposals from structural units were heard, and the necessity of having these documents in the university for their practical implementation was emphasized.
L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University continues systematic work on embedding ESG approaches, which will strengthen its position internationally, promote social and environmental responsibility, and ensure high standards of education quality.
