Information Week “Ask a Librarian” Held at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University

From October 6 to 16, 2025, the Academic Library of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University hosted an information week titled “Ask a Librarian.”

As part of the week, library staff visited all university dormitories and held meetings with students. The main goal of the event was to introduce them to the library’s services and resources, and to train them in effective information search strategies. during their studies and research activities.

During the meetings, librarians explained how to use the electronic catalog, register in databases, search for academic materials, and navigate the library’s digital resources.

In addition, students received detailed information about the activities of the «American Corner and Makerspace Astana» information and resource center. It was noted that the center regularly offers courses, trainings, and seminars aimed at developing technical and creative skills, as well as master classes designed to help students unlock their personal potential.

During the event, members of the BookenClub engaged in open discussions with students, shared the club’s mission and objectives, and invited them to join the literary community to talk about recent book releases. At the end of the meetings, students had the opportunity to ask questions and received useful advice from the librarians.
