Classes at the Scientific and Production Center of Transfusiology in Astana

As part of her pedagogical practice, the second-year doctoral student of the Department of Biotechnology and Microbiology conducted classroom lectures and practical classes at the Scientific and Production Center of Transfusiology in Astana

On October 6-17, 2025, a 2nd-year doctoral student of the Department of Biotechnology and Microbiology of the educational program 8D05101-"Biotechnology" Turganbekova Aida Askarkyzy conducted classroom lectures and practical exercises on the topic "HLA system. General characteristics. HLA-typing methods" in the disciplines "Fundamentals of Immunology" (for 3rd year undergraduate students of educational program 6B05102-"Animal Biotechnology and Bioinformatics" in groups B050-5102-23-01 , B050-5102-23-02 , B050-5102-23-03 ), " Modern aspects of immunogenetics and protein engineering" and "Immunobiotechnology and vaccine Production" (for 1st year master's degree students of educational program 7M05103–"Molecular Biotechnology and Biomedicine"), which were held at the Scientific and Production Center of Transfusiology in Astana (in the laboratory of immunological tissue typing).

During the classes, the theoretical and practical aspects of HLA-typing methods in immunogenetics were considered. The classes were held in an interactive form: the students showed activity, interest in immunology and immunogenetics, and demonstrated an understanding of the theory of immunological processes when discussing the topic of organ transplantation.

Following the lessons, the students thanked doctoral student Turganbekova A.A. for the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of the laboratory of immunological tissue typing of the Scientific Center of Transfusiology, and also noted the invaluable work of Kazakhstani medical workers-laboratory specialists, transplant doctors, biotechnologists, laboratory assistants and, of course, organ transplant donors, who together save hundreds of lives.
