ENU Vice-Rector took part in the Coordination Meeting of Rectors of universities - members of the Association of Asian Universities in Samarkand

Vice-Rector of the L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University Lyazat Nurkatova took part in the Coordination Meeting of rectors of universities - members of the Association of Asian Universities, held on the basis of the Samarkand State University named after Sh. Rashidov (Uzbekistan). Representatives of universities of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and Russia participated in its work.

The meeting was held in a mixed format. Rectors of universities of the participating countries, including Vice-Rector of ENU Lyazat Nurkatova, made reports.

The participants of the meeting discussed the results of the work on the formation of expert groups of the Association of Asian Universities in the following areas, as well as plans for university cooperation and work for the coming years.

The issue of expanding the membership and geography of the Association of Asian Universities was considered, memoranda were signed. It is planned to accept several more universities of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation.
