
The 21st International Eurasian Scientific Forum «The Eurasian Space in the Era of Globalization: Historical Lessons and New Understanding» was held at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University



On October 14, 2025, the 21st International Eurasian Scientific Forum «The Eurasian Space in the Era of Globalization: Historical Lessons and New Understanding» was held at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
The forum was attended by historians, heads of organizations, university professors, foreign specialists, and graduate and doctoral students.
The 21st International Eurasian Scientific Forum focused on preserving the historical memory of the peoples of Eurasia, understanding that the Turkic world is one of the most famous civilizations in the world with fundamental values, and digitizing science.
In his opening remarks at the forum, Yerlan Battashuly Sydykov, Chairman of the Board and Rector of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov, and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, emphasized that the main goal of the forum is to learn from the past and explore the prospects for the development of the Eurasian space in the face of current global challenges from a new scientific perspective.

The event was attended by Director of the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan Berik Abdigaliuly, Deputy Director of the Institute of State History of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Ayagan Burkitbai Gelmanovich, Director of the National Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sagila Nurlanova Yessimseitovna, Head of the Archival Work Service of the Presidential Administration Center of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Momynkul Hamit Muktiyaruly, Head of the Archival Work Service Director of the Scientific Research Center «Medieval source Studies», Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Syzdykov Satay Maksutovich, Acting Professor of the Department of History and Geography of Alikhan Bokeikhan University, Doctor of Historical Sciences Adilbaeva Aigul Serikkanovna, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University Sadykov Tlegen Sadykovich, Professor of History, Doctor of Sciences Alpysbes Mahsat Alpysbesuly and other scientists.
Scientists from Russia, Azerbaijan, and Kyrgyzstan participated online. Scientists such as Zakhra Rustamkyzy Islamova presented a report on «The Management of Waqfs in Azerbaijan in the 15th and 16th Centuries», Zhibek Sapargaliyevna Syzdykova presented a report on «Eurasia as a Territory Uniting Europe and Asia», Temirkul Ishekeevich Asanov presented a report on «The Institute of Biys in the State Structure of the Kyrgyz in the 16th and 17th Centuries», and Aisen Danilovich Vasilyev presented a report on «The Kazakh Steppe in the First Half of the 19th Century and the Special Forms of Regional Administration in Yakutia».

Representatives of the intellectuals who participated in the forum noted that the scientific forum was an unconditional contribution to the formation of a new category of «open platforms» for studying the history of the peoples of the Eurasian space.
