
Republican aitys of schoolchildren "Kola Dombira – 2025" came to its end
From October 31 to November 1, 2025, the Eurasian National University hosted the traditional republican aitys of schoolchildren "Kola Dombira – 2025", which brought together young talents from all over the country.
The event is held for the second year in a row with the support of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the El Umiti Corporate Foundation and the Republican Public Association "International Union of Aitys-Akyns, Zhyrshy and Termeshy".
For two days, 22 gifted participants aged between 10-18, who were selected in all regions of the country, competed in the mastery of words and playing the dombra.
The aim of aitys is to popularize national art, support young talents and develop their oratorical and poetic skills.
The opening ceremony and the final stage were attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, deputies of the Mazhilis of Parliament and the leadership of the Eurasian National University.
The project leader is Serikzat Duysengazy, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, Dean of the Faculty of Philological, L.N. Gumilyov ENU.
Young akyns competed on three topical topics of modern society:
"Creative youth in AI era";
"The Working Man – the Backbone of the Country";
"Digitalization and Education: Requirements of a New Era".
The skill of the participants was evaluated by famous aitys-akyns: the owner of the "Golden Dombra" Yerkebulan Kainazarov, aitys-akyns of Iran-Gayip Kuzembayev and Omirzhan Kopbosyn, the representative of the "El Umiti" foundation Azamat Onaibayev, as well as the chairman of the jury - deputy of the Mazhilis of Parliament Rinat Zaitov.
According to the results of the republican aitys of schoolchildren on the topic "Creative Youth in AI Era", Aiganym Maksutkhanova (Astana), Beles Otepbergen (Aktobe) and Baktiyar Aisha (Shymkent) took the third place. The second place went to Ainur Zinuulla (Almaty region) and Meyrzhan Barshynbai (Pavlodar). Nurislam Ragatov from Kostanay won the first place. The main prize and the title of the winner of "Kola Dombyra – 2025" went to Inzhu Zhanabai from Zhambyl region.
The winner of the Grand Prix received a diploma, a special bronze dombra and a cash prize, while the winners of the first, second and third places received diplomas and monetary awards. In addition, special personalized awards were presented to the young talents.
It should be noted that the aitys qualifying stage was held from October 1 to October 17 through the regional branches of the International Union of Aitys-Akyns, Zhyrshy and Termeshy. Last year, the main prize was won by a young akyn from Shymkent, Islam Ali Birzhanuly.
