
Representatives of ENU Took Part in the 6th Kazan International Linguistic Summit



From October 20 to 24, 2025, the 6th Kazan International Linguistic Summit was held at Kazan Federal University. The event was organized with the support of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Institute for Strategy of Education Development, the Federal Institute of Native Languages of the Peoples of the Russian Federation, the International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature (MAPRYAL), and other leading scientific organizations.
The summit was dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the birth of the founder of the Kazan linguistic school, Jan Baudouin de Courtenay, the 150th anniversary of the beginning of his work at Kazan University, and the 190th anniversary of the Higher School of Russian Philology and Culture named after Leo Tolstoy at KFU.
The summit program included a number of academic and educational events: the festival “LingvoExpo: Foreign Languages — 2025”, the linguistic and methodological festival “Language Trends and Methodological Innovations — 2025”, the international forum “Russian Language and Literature as a Means of Shaping Russian Identity and Promoting International Integration”, and the international scientific conference “Challenges and Trends in Modern Linguistics”, where leading scholars discussed current developments in linguistics.
L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, a strategic partner of Kazan Federal University, was represented at the summit by Professor K. R. Nurgali, Head of the Department of Russian Philology; Professor Zh. S. Beissenova; and A. B. Orazalina, a third-year doctoral student currently undertaking a research internship at KFU.
The participation of ENU representatives contributed to strengthening academic ties between universities, exchanging experience, and discussing new trends in linguistics and philological education. The summit became a platform for productive dialogue among researchers from Russia, Kazakhstan, and other countries, confirming the importance of international cooperation in the development of modern language studies.
