
An exhibition dedicated to Turkmenistan’s Independence Day opened at ENU
September 21 is the Independence Day of the Republic of Turkmenistan. In this regard, an exhibition organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Kazakhstan has opened in “Otyrar” library of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan Batyr Rejepov, member of the Board of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University – Vice-Rector for Science, Commercialization and Internationalization Zhanna Kurmangaliyeva, famous scientists and library staff.
The main purpose of the exhibition is to celebrate a significant day, celebrate the 32nd anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Turkmenistan, form the attitude of young people studying in Kazakhstan to the values of independence and exchange experience between artists.
ENU Vice-Rector Zhanna Kurmangaliyeva congratulated everyone on the Independence Day of the Republic of Turkmenistan, noting that for 32 years of independence Turkmenistan has achieved great success, real victories, that this great holiday is priceless wealth for all Turkmen citizens, great pride, and wished the people of the two countries unity and peace.
“Currently, 200 students from Turkmenistan study at our university, mostly at the faculties of philology, natural sciences, and information technology. After graduation, having received our diplomas, they will go to their homeland to serve their country. If these highly qualified specialists will work worthily for the benefit of their state, it means that there is our contribution in this,” Zhanna Kurmangaliyeva said.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan Batyr Rejepov congratulated the Turkmen youth studying at the Eurasian National University.
“I heartily congratulate everyone on the most noble holiday of the country – Independence Day! This is a holiday that has a special place for every citizen of Turkmenistan. Thanks to this independence, we have achieved great successes, our country has reached the level of strong, promising, civilized countries. Your studies at ENU are a clear proof of that,” the Ambassador noted.
After the opening ceremony, the participants visited the exhibition, which presented works of fine art in such genres as still life, landscape, portrait, national products reflecting the way of life of Turkmenistan, and books in colors depicting the sights of our fraternal country.
