The traditional freshman sports contest came its close

Between November 1 – November 30, the university hosted its traditional freshman sports contest, which became one of the most exciting sporting events of the fall semester. During the month, the participants competed for victory in 10 sports at once, demonstrating strength, endurance, team spirit and the desire for new achievements.
The competition was attended by 14 teams representing:
The Foundation Education Program;
Graduate School of Education
Institute of Physical and Technical Sciences;
Faculty of History;
Faculty of Economics;
Faculty of International Relations;
Faculty of Philology;
Faculty of Architecture and Construction;
Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics;
Faculty of Transport and Energy;
Faculty of Natural Sciences;
Faculty of Journalism and Social Sciences;
Faculty of Information Technology;
Faculty of Law.
The tournament was held at a high organizational level: a busy sports calendar, dynamic games, active fan support and decent competition made the Spartakiad truly memorable. The teams showed character, endurance and the ability to work together, which is exactly what forms the basis of student sports.
After a hard struggle in the team competition, the positions were distributed as follows:
III place - Faculty of Journalism and Social Sciences;
II place – Graduate School of Education.
The Spartakiad champions are the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics.
Congratulations to the winners and runners-up! We would like to thank all the participants for their vivid emotions and fair play. The Spartakiad proved once again that student sport unites, inspires and opens up new opportunities for everyone. We are waiting for everyone at the next launches!
