
ENU how has an Inclusive Tutor Support Lab















The L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University hosted the grand opening of the Inclusive Tutor Support Laboratory. The event is organized by the Pedagogy Department of the university.
The purpose of the lab is to bring together the successful results of scientific, experimental and pedagogical experience aimed at solving the problems of inclusive education, as well as promoting the introduction of inclusive learning in educational organizations.
ENU Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Ardak Beisenbai spoke about the importance of the laboratory:
"Today's event is an important step in the development of inclusive education. The laboratory of the Pedagogy Department, ENU’s Graduate School of Education was created to develop inclusive education, support students with special educational needs and improve the skills of teachers. The Eurasian National University strives to strengthen scientific research in the field of inclusive education and ensure equal learning opportunities for students with special educational needs," Vice-Rector said.
The participants got acquainted with the material and technical base of the laboratory. There are modules of the ADOS-2 standard for early diagnosis of autism, a set of methodology for assessing language and learning skills ABLLS-R, computer programs for people with visual impairments, a portable electronic magnifier RS700, Compact 7 HD video magnifier and other equipment.
The event was also attended by Baubek Somzhurek, Director of the ENU Graduate School of Education, Yaroslava Kovaleva, head and supervisor of the ENU Center for Inclusive Support, Aidan Oymauytova, defectologist of the A.Baitursynuly Lyceum No. 48, as well as the university teachers and students.
