
The power of law and tradition: Saule Aitpayeva inspired ENU students with a lecture on anti-corruption culture










The students of the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University were addressed by a legendary figure – first Kazakh female general, State Adviser of Justice of the 3rd class, Honorary Employee of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan Saule Aitpayeva. She held an open conversation on the topic "Anti-Corruption Culture" for future lawyers, turning the lecture into a vivid and deep dialogue about values, justice and responsibility.
During a lively and intense conversation, Saule Aitpayeva revealed the key aspects of the formation of an anti-corruption culture in modern society. She spoke simply about complex things, giving illustrative examples from many years of practice and relying on the norms of traditional Kazakh society. Future lawyers not only heard explanations of the intricacies of anti-corruption legislation, but also had the opportunity to look at the profession through the prism of the personal experience of an outstanding lawyer.
Saule Aitpayeva is a professional with an impressive amount of knowledge. A graduate of the A. A. Rudenko Sverdlovsk Law Institute, she devoted a significant part of her life to work in the prosecutor's office, served as a deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and was a member of the Committee on Constitutional Legislation, the Judicial System, and Law Enforcement Agencies. She is also a member of the National Commission for Women and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of Kazakhstan.
Her meeting with the students was not just a lecture, but an inspiring lesson in professional honesty and civic maturity.
