Philippe Vogeleer, an international expert in the field of IT and digital transformation, delivered a lecture "Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence: Global Trends and Practical Solutions" at the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The event was organized by the ENU Graduate School of Business in cooperation with the National Academy of Corporate Governance (NACG). The lecture was held offline and online as part of the MBA, EMBA and DBA programs.
The event was attended by business representatives, specialists of the higher education system and employees of the quasi-public sector.
The event was opened by the ENU Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Internationalization Duman Aitmagambetov, stressing that the presentations of world experts at the university are an important initiative that gives impetus to the development of science and education. He also noted that such meetings strengthen ENU's international cooperation and promote integration into the modern educational space.
During the meeting, Philippe Vogeleer shared his experience on current trends in digital transformation and artificial intelligence, their impact on business and society, and offered several practical solutions. He stressed the importance of artificial intelligence and digital technologies to enhance the global competitiveness of Central Asia.:
"Today, 3.4 billion people in the world remain outside the digital space. Reducing this gap could bring about $3 trillion to the global economy. Artificial intelligence provides fundamental changes in medicine, education, transport and agriculture. For example, intelligent systems can increase yields by 15-20% and strengthen food security," the international expert noted.
In turn, Rector of NACG, Doctor of Law, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhytzhan Abdirayim focused on the role of lectures in the exchange of knowledge and experience.:
"The Eurasian National University plays an important role in the formation of the scientific and expert community. The university is a platform where global trends are discussed, ideas are born and specialists for the digital economy are trained. Such events strengthen the link between education, science and business, providing students and young professionals with the opportunity to gain experience from global experts," he said.
At the end of the lecture, a Q&A session was held, after which the participants were awarded certificates.
Philippe Vogeleer is an honorary professor at the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, an international expert in the field of IT and digital transformation, an independent director and member of the boards of directors of Freedom Holding Corp., VeryPay (Switzerland) and Sumitomo Corporation (Japan). He is also a guest lecturer at INSEAD (France), a member of the Institute of Directors (UK) and NACD (USA) organizations. Over the years, he has worked for Vodafone, Orange, Ooredoo and Deloitte. He has extensive experience in the fields of digital innovation, transformational strategies, and global ecosystem management.
