Zebra Coffee owner Yerzhan Tastambekov at ENU: "The path to success begins with experience"
Yerzhan Tastambekov, founder and owner of the Zebra Coffee chain, ENU graduate, patron of the ENU Endowment Fund, delivered an open lecture "The path to success begins with experience" for students of the Eurasian National University. The meeting was organized by the Marketing and Alumni Relations Office in conjunction with the University’s Career and Business Partnership Office.
During the meeting, Yerzhan Tastambekov shared his professional experience, talked about building a successful business, answered students' questions and encouraged the most creative participants with branded Zebra Coffee products. The businessman talked about how to be special, bring something interesting into your life and your environment and become a better person.
"The main reason I chose this topic is to convey to you that social media is a lie. There is no easy success, there is no success without a foundation, without experience and without action. Success is not luck.
If you graduate from university at the age of 22, forget that you will buy an apartment before the age of 26. If the young people around you tell you that they got rich at the age of 22, that's a lie. There are no such people. And if they do, they are on loan or given to them by their parents," the speaker explained.
Yerzhan Tastambekov advised young people who want to start their own business to first study and gain experience.
"How many young people are in debt now. Because they initially calculated their experience and actions incorrectly. They didn't have enough skills. Gain experience, work, and one day, when something interesting turns up, you'll be ready for it. Success is not an accident or luck, but the result of a well-traveled path," the ENU graduate emphasized.
The speaker listed the success skills. Among them, the first necessary skill is performance, the second is organization, the next is management, and the final stage is a businessman, that is, acting without a supervisor.
In honor of the 30th anniversary of ENU, Yerzhan Tastambekov established 30 educational grants for students of his alma mater - a significant contribution to the development of youth and support for talented students.
In addition, Zebra Coffee celebrated its 7th anniversary on December 1, and the grant holders congratulated the founder of the company on this important event, wishing him success in business.
