At L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, an international expert in IT and digital transformation, Philippe Vogeleer, delivered a lecture on the topic “Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence: Global Trends and Practical Solutions.” The event was organized jointly by the ENU Graduate School of Business and the National Academy of Corporate Governance (NACG). The lecture was held in both offline and online formats as part of the MBA, EMBA, and DBA programs.

Representatives of the business community, higher education professionals, and employees of the quasi-public sector took part in the event.
The event was opened by the Vice-Rector of ENU for Strategic Development and Internationalization, Duman Aitmagambetov, who emphasized that lectures by world-class experts at the university are an important initiative that gives momentum to the development of science and education. He also noted that such meetings strengthen ENU’s international cooperation and contribute to its integration into the modern educational space.
During the meeting, Philippe Vogeleer shared his experience regarding current trends in digital transformation and artificial intelligence, their impact on business and society, and presented several practical solutions. He emphasized the importance of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in enhancing Central Asia’s global competitiveness:
“Today, 3.4 billion people around the world remain outside the digital space. Narrowing this gap could bring approximately 3 trillion US dollars to the global economy. Artificial intelligence is driving fundamental changes in healthcare, education, transport, and agriculture. For example, intelligent systems can increase crop yields by 15–20% and strengthen food security,” the international expert noted.
In turn, the Rector of NACG, Doctor of Law, Professor, and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Bakhytzhan Abdiraiym, spoke about the role of the lecture in knowledge and experience exchange:
“Eurasian National University plays a significant role in forming the scientific and expert community. The university is a platform where global trends are discussed, ideas are born, and specialists for the digital economy are trained. Such events strengthen the link between education, science, and business, giving students and young professionals the opportunity to learn from world-renowned experts,” he said.
The lecture concluded with a question-and-answer session, after which participants were awarded certificates.
