A theatrical performance in English dedicated to Christmas and the New Year

On December 18, Building 4 at Yanushkevich Street, was filled with a special pre‑New Year’s magic. Senior Lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of International Relations, A. M. Yessentemirova, together with students, staged a theatrical performance in English dedicated to Christmas and the New Year, which transported guests into the world of English classical literature, winter wonder, and sincere emotions. The audience witnessed the spiritual transformation of the main character — a journey from coldness and greed toward light, humanity, and warmth, vividly portrayed on stage. The theatrical performance, inspired by Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, came to life through heartfelt acting, meticulous attention to detail, and the genuine enthusiasm of the participants. Each scene filled the hall with a truly festive mood. The event brought together students of different academic years, faculty members, and guests, creating an atmosphere of unity and creative inspiration. For journalism students, the performance was not merely a display of artistic talent, but an opportunity to express themselves, share warmth, and remind everyone of timeless values that feel especially meaningful on the eve of the winter holidays. The evening became a clear testament to the power of student creativity — its ability to inspire, warm hearts, and turn an ordinary December day into a small Christmas miracle.
