
ENU held a training seminar on supporting students with special educational needs















The L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University held a seminar on supporting students with special educational needs using the "1+2" model. Representatives from Moscow's universities and colleges participated in the event, which coincided with ENU's 30th anniversary.
Lyazzat Tolegenkyzy, ENU Vice-Rector for Social and Infrastructure Development, delivered a welcoming address. She discussed the university's strategic focus on developing inclusive education.
"Eurasian National University views the development of inclusive education as a strategic goal. Our goal is to create an accessible and comfortable educational environment for students with special educational needs, as well as to facilitate their full integration into the academic, social, and professional environment," Vice-Rector noted. During the seminar, participants learned about supporting students with special educational needs, volunteering for inclusion, digital accessibility tools, providing first aid in an inclusive university setting, developing basic communication skills with students with hearing impairments, and much more.
The student volunteer club "Komek" shared its experience.
As part of the event, members of the ENU student volunteer club "Komek" were awarded for their contribution to inclusion.
Finally, participants were introduced to the work of the ENU Inclusive Support Center and the university.
