Young Masters of the Word: Regional Olympiad Held at L.N. Gumilyov ENU

Within the framework of career guidance activities aimed at identifying gifted and talented students, a regional subject Olympiad was held at L. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. A total of 38 students from schools in the city of Astana and Akmola region took part in the Olympiad in the field of Kazakh Language and Literature.

The subject Olympiad consisted of two stages. During the first stage, participants selected one of the three proposed topics and wrote an essay. At the second stage, they answered subject-related questions.

The school students who demonstrated both talent and diligence successfully completed the tasks of both stages within two hours. As a result, the winners in the subject of Kazakh Literature were:

1st place - Rayana Kerimkhan (Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics, Astana, Nura district);
2nd place - Ayaulym Bukharbay (M. Auezov School-Gymnasium No. 86), Akerke Erzhanqyzy (School-Gymnasium No. 96);
3rd place - Malika Sapar (Binom School-Lyceum named after Kadyr Myrza Ali), Nazerke Orynbasar (School-Gymnasium No. 96), Akzharkyn Abibulla (Binom School-Lyceum named after Kadyr Myrza Ali).

In the subject of Kazakh Language, the winners were:
1st place - Korkem Bolysbek (Binom School-Lyceum named after K. Satpayev);
2nd place - Ayim Zetbek (K. Kaisenov School-Lyceum No. 27), Gulfayrus Saidilda (Binom School-Lyceum named after Kadyr Myrza Ali);
3rd place - Dilnaz Erbolkyzy (School-Lyceum No. 60), Araiym Ergesh (School-Lyceum No. 66), Kelbet Zholan (Binom School-Lyceum named after Kadyr Myrza Ali).
