
Guest Lecture on the Discipline «Advocacy»

Within the framework of the course “Advocacy” at the Faculty of Law of Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov, a guest lecture was organized by MD, LL.M., and PhD candidate of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zhanel Begaliyeva. The lecture featured an experienced legal practitioner.

During the session, students:
- Became acquainted with the functional responsibilities of legal consultants;
- Examined the differences in legal status, powers, and procedural capabilities between advocates and legal consultants;
- Discussed the deadlines for filing and reviewing civil claims in the courts of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Received practical explanations regarding legal representation, preparation of procedural documents, and interaction with clients;
- Asked questions related to the discipline “Advocacy” and their future professional careers.
Practical Significance
Particular attention was paid to:
- The distinction between the status of an advocate and a legal consultant within the framework of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Requirements for procedural documents;
- Compliance with limitation periods and procedural deadlines;
- Issues of professional ethics and legal responsibility.
The guest lecture enabled students to combine theoretical knowledge with real legal practice and receive answers to relevant professional questions.
