“Gumilyov Journal of History” Included in List 1 of the CQASEHE MES RK Register

L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University announces that the scholarly journal Gumilyov Journal of History has been included in List 1 of the Register of Publications recommended by the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for publishing the main results of scientific research.
The inclusion of the journal in List 1 is an important recognition of its high academic standards, the quality of its editorial policy, the transparency of its peer-review procedures, and its compliance with international standards of academic publishing ethics.
It is also worth noting that in 2025 the journal successfully underwent a rebranding process. The title and visual identity were updated, the website structure was modernized, the editorial policy and publication requirements were revised, the editorial board was strengthened, and peer-review and publication ethics procedures were aligned with international standards. These changes were aimed at enhancing the journal’s competitiveness and expanding its academic audience.
This achievement became possible due to the coordinated and systematic work of the journal’s editorial team and Scientific Publications Office of Science Department. Consistent organizational, methodological, and technical support, continuous improvement of editorial processes, quality control of publications, and full compliance with the requirements of the CQASEHE MES RK ensured the successful completion of all evaluation procedures.
The journal focuses on publishing relevant research in national and world history, as well as archaeology. The editorial board systematically works to improve the quality of scholarly publications, broaden the geographical diversity of authors, and promote international cooperation.
Inclusion in List 1 opens additional opportunities for authors, doctoral candidates, and researchers to publish the results of their scientific work and confirms the sustainable development of the journal in line with national and international standards of academic periodicals.
We congratulate the editorial board, authors, and all those involved in the development of the journal on this significant achievement and wish them continued success in strengthening the journal’s position in the academic space of the Republic of Kazakhstan and beyond.
