
Business trip: scientific events in Moscow

On 14–18 February 2026, S. Zhanzhigitov, PhD, Acting Associate Professor at the Department of Kazakh Linguistics of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, undertook a business trip to Moscow, Russian Federation. The trip was carried out within the framework of the grant project AP25793567 “A Pedagogical Model for Developing Lawyers’ Linguoconflictological Competence (within the implementation of the ‘Hearing State’ concept)”. A number of official academic meetings were held at the A.S. Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language (Moscow). In particular, an academic meeting took place with Pavel Alekseevich Katyshev, Head of the Institute’s Department of Russian Language, Doctor of Philology, Professor, where the areas of joint academic work at the departmental level were discussed. The meeting addressed issues related to advancing research in the fields of legal linguistics and linguoconflictology, exchanging experience, and systematizing shared scholarly initiatives. During the trip, an analytical report developed within the project was submitted for discussion at an international conference in the field of legal linguistics. As a result of the discussion, the research design, data analysis steps, and ways to implement the results at an applied level were clarified. A meeting was also held with Galina Nikolaevna Trofimova, Director General of GLEDIS (Guild of Linguist Experts on Documentary and Information Disputes), Doctor of Philology, Professor, during which an individual interview was conducted on practical cases and professional standards of linguistic expertise. During the meetings, the following areas of cooperation were identified:
✔️academic support of the grant project and coordination of joint work plans;
✔️ preparation of joint scholarly articles;
✔️ organization of guest lectures;
✔️ partnership in professional development courses.
In addition, the diploma obtained upon completion of the linguistic expertise course held from 15.09.2025 to 26.01.2026 provided an additional opportunity to deepen the project’s theoretical and practical foundation. The Moscow trip contributed to refining the goals and objectives of the AP25793567 project, expanding academic ties in legal linguistics and linguoconflictology, and systematizing the applied outcomes.
