
Round table "Academic mobility in the age of digitalization: new formats and limitations"

On February 19, 2026, the Department of Archeology and Ethnology of the Faculty of History organized and held a Round table "Academic mobility in the age of digitalization: new formats and limitations".
The head of the department Umitkaliev U.U. made a welcoming speech, who introduced the participants of the event and outlined modern learning trajectories within the framework of academic mobility programs, emphasizing their importance in the context of the digital transformation of higher education.

Senior lecturer Koshman T.V. introduced students to the possibilities of participating in the academic mobility program, the procedure for choosing a host university, the procedure for submitting documents, and also provided a brief overview of available educational programs.
Associate Professor of the department Razdykov S.Z. emphasized the need to broaden academic horizons, study foreign languages and actively use the opportunities provided by international and interuniversity cooperation.
A 4th-year student, Aigazina D., who studied at Moscow State University in the fall semester and also participated in the Summer School of Kazan Federal University in 2025, told about her own experience of participating in the program in 2024. She noted the high level of academic training and the value of intercultural experience.

In the spring semester of the 2025-2026 academic year, four exchange students are studying under the academic mobility program "Archeology, Ethnology and Anthropology": Biktagirov Rishat (Kazan Federal University, Tatarstan), Maximov Tumen and Vasilyeva Anna (Northeastern Federal University named after M.K. Ammosov, Yakutia), Kadyrbekova Aknar (Kyrgyz J. Balasagyn National University, Kyrgyzstan). At the same time, Jamal Ergaziev, a student of the department, is studying at the University of Gdansk.



Students from partner universities shared their impressions of our university, faculty and educational environment, noting the opportunities for studying the history, culture and scientific traditions of the host country.
The Round Table demonstrated the relevance of academic mobility as an important tool for integration into the international educational space. The discussion showed that in the context of digitalization, the formats of interaction between universities are expanding, while maintaining the importance of face-to-face intercultural exchange. The event helped to raise students' awareness of academic mobility opportunities and encouraged them to actively participate in international educational programs.
