ENU Chemistry Department Hosts Research Methodologies Lecture

On February 18, 2026, an open lecture on the discipline "Methodologies and methods of scientific research" was held at the Department of Chemistry of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University for undergraduates of the Educational program "7M01512 – Chemistry". The lecture was conducted by Professor of the Department Zhatkanbayeva Zhanna Kalanbekovna. The lesson was in the format of an academic lecture and was devoted to the current methodological aspects of modern scientific research in the field of chemistry. During the lesson, modern approaches to the organization of scientific research, the choice of research methods, and the substantiation of scientific results were considered. Additionally, the "Flipped classroom" method was employed. Gamification elements on the Baamboozle platform and the Jigsaw method were used as interactive teaching methods, which contributed to the active involvement of students in the learning process. The open class was attended by associate professors and teachers of the department, who noted the high scientific and methodological level of the lecture and its practical importance for the training of future researchers and chemistry teachers.
